Adrenaline & Action in Varna
We at VIP Tour Varna know there might be some people searching for thrills during their holiday and stay in Golden Sands. Here is an overview of some more extreme things to do. Moving away from the classic sightseeing tours and quiet museum visits, the Black Sea coast and the surroundings of Varna offer a surprisingly diverse selection of heart-racing activities for true adventurers.
Bungee Jumping (Asparuhov Bridge)
This is the absolute hotspot for extreme sports lovers in the city. The Asparuhov Bridge offers a 40-meter high jump right over the canal connecting Lake Varna with the Black Sea. If free-falling isn’t your thing, you can still enjoy the view. Note that a reservation in advance is required; otherwise, nobody will be there.
- The Vibe: Terrifying but exhilarating with fantastic views of the port and the sea.
How to get there
- By Public Bus
- Take bus lines 17A or 88 from the city center and get off at the ‘Asparuhov Most’ stop. Just be careful, as the walking space on the bridge is very limited and we do not recommend it.
- On Foot
- It is a long walk (about 40 minutes) from the center, so a taxi or the bus is highly recommended.
- Ask our help
- The easiest way, however, is contacting us, as we will help you with the booking and getting there.

Tandem Paragliding
You don’t need a pilot’s license to fly. You simply strap in with a professional instructor, run down the slope of a coastal hill, and soar above the sea and the forest.
- The Vibe: Complete freedom and breathtaking views of the coastline.
- Location: Usually takes off from the hills near Kranevo or Kiten (just north of Golden Sands).
How to get there
You must book this in advance. The provider will usually pick you up at a designated meeting point in Varna or Golden Sands and drive you to the take-off spot in their 4×4.

The “Wind” Zipline
One of the longest ziplines in the Balkans. You fly over a ravine and a dense forest at speeds up to 80 km/h.
- The Vibe: Fast, loud wind in your ears, and a massive adrenaline rush.
- Location: Near the village of Rogachevo (close to Kranevo).
How to get there
- By Bus
- You can take Bus 409 to Golden Sands and transfer to a minibus toward Kranevo/Rogachevo, but it’s honestly a hassle and you’ll lose a lot of time.
- By Taxi
- You can take a taxi, but the only thing is that the driver will charge you for the entire time he spends waiting for you there. It can end up being quite expensive since you’ll need a ride back as well.

Tips for Adrenaline Seekers
- Always book in advance: Especially for paragliding and the Battle Zone, spontaneous visits are usually not possible.
- Check the weather: Bungee jumping and paragliding are highly dependent on wind and weather conditions—always have a Plan B ready.
- Wear comfortable clothing: For all activities, wear closed, comfortable shoes and sports clothes.
- Safety first: Always listen to the instructors’ briefings, no matter how much experience you have.
